Infrastructure Network Engineer II

Infrastructure Engineers work with cutting-edge technology solutions in routing, switching, firewalls, and network systems. You will design, implement, and maintain advanced technology solutions for small and medium sized businesses, ensuring their systems are secure and reliable, enabling them to thrive and grow.

Our Infrastructure Team is seeking highly motivated individuals with strong networking and firewall skills, a passion for learning, and a commitment to engineering excellence and exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for planning, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure. 
  • Partner with clients, vendors, and internal teams to achieve excellent outcomes. 
  • Develop SE standards and best practices guidelines. Ensure and participate in corrective actions as required. 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation. 
  • Work closely with account managers to design, refine, and present proposals to clients and potential clients. 
  • Act as a subject matter resource in one or more assigned technologies. 
  • Within specific areas of expertise, provide technical guidance and leadership to network administrators, LAN and WAN engineers, and account managers. 
  • Participate in 24×7 on-call support rotation. 
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications for partnership with key vendors.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a technical field and/or equivalent with a minimum of (5) years professional experience (3+ years in a service-based environment) is required. 
  • Possess current technical certifications from the following vendors strongly preferred: Cisco (CCNA or CCNP) and/or Fortinet (FCP or FCE). 
  • Experience with troubleshooting or installing Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiAP, FortiSwitch), Meraki, and Cisco technologies. 
  • Experience in researching, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure and resolving issues on various networking and collaboration platforms. 
  • Knowledge of the OSI Model and other networking principles, with a broad understanding of security, including protection, detection, and incident response. 
  • Strong client service, communication, and interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism. 
  • Be a collaborative team player, accountable to assigned projects and driven to meet customer needs. 
  • Effective critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills to achieve business solutions. 
  • Possess strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Our New Hampshire office is relocating from Manchester to the vibrant city of Nashua early next year.
